help with htc wildfire!

hey, i got my new phone today (its fabulous). i was adding contacts under MyPhonebook but after adding like ten, the contacts i add afterwards don't come up in my contact list and i can't figure out why. they are obviously saved because i can access them if i go to the specific group (i.e. favourites) but that's so much effort and i want them on my list like a normal person! can anyone help? i didn't even know what to google, i couldn't find much. : (

Are you sure you're adding your contacts to the right area, i.e. the phone's actual contact database not some quick access app?

Also need more info on the phone, what's the specific name of it, is it running Android or Windows Mobile, etc.

its def the right area. i added my best friend to "favourites" and she wouldnt show up, but when i added her to "friends" she did. so there's something up with that...!

are you viewing all, rather than friends?

Since.. if you add them to favourites and you're viewing the "friend" group, it won't show them.. but if you view all contacts, it will.

i'm definetly viewing all! thats what i thought at first, hence me being suprised to find it being in the actual favourites folder but not there when i'm viewing all my contacts together. it's okay though, i'll learn to live WITH NO FAVOURITES!! : (

you can probably only put a certain amount of people in favorites or something, TIME TO CHOSE WHO YOU'RE REAL FRIENDS ARE.

i'm not good at helping with tech things without actually being hands-on about it, and it sounds like you're dealing with something related to HTC Sense rather than Android (basically, something HTC put as a layer over the basic operating system...so rather than using the stock contacts system you're fiddling with HTC's customization to it).

have you connected it to a google account?

if you go to google.com/contacts do you see them in there?
