yeah it is, ive never heard of egg or bacon "toasties", not trying to poke fun, just ive never heard that term before. I think we call cheese toasties a grilled cheese sandwhich though

toastie = toasted sandwich. a sandwich is made up from two slices of bread with a filling between them and then heat is applied via grill, pan frying, toaster or specifically designed sandwich toasting appliance to toast the sandwich. it is the same thing as a grilled cheese sandwich, it's just shorthand that is not toasting-method-specific or filling-specific. QUITE SIMPLE REALLY
