my best friend's type: asshole

just a bit of a rant. basically my best friend and i have been super close for 6-7 years now and we've never had an argument. we might disagree on things once in a blue moon but we just talk about it, and its over. BUT for the first time in these 6-7 years im just really losing my patience. i dont know if this is the irritableness talking so i guess i need some perspective. cant be bothered to speak to anyone so i'll just type it all...

basically, in a nutshell, guys turn my fabulous best friend into an idiot. she doesnt have a type physically speaking, but likes guys 'who make her laugh'. now these guys who 'make her laugh' are absolute pricks who are going absolutely n-o-w-h-e-r-e in life. complete tossers who the rest of my friends wouldn't even acknowledge. i WANT her to meet someone who will treat her right, i want her to be really happy but its like shes just refusing to even help herself. she was with the biggest loser for 2 years and you'd think being with a massive prick would surely help you identify said pricks easier and therefore avoid them like the plague. but noooooooooo.

pattern: she meets guy - it goes well - guy abruptly ditches her and makes BS excuse - i clean up the mess - she thinks theres something wrong with her - rinse and repeat

today she texts me after going AWOL for the week saying shes told her mum shes at mine to meet dan. dan was the latest prick to ditch her. and this just instantly made my blood boil because its like, "do you just not listen to what i say?". i just texted her saying what the hell thats about and why she was giving him another chance to fuck up. i mean, ill still be there for her regardless, and i want her to be happy with her own life, but i just dont think im able to fully sympathise anymore. i'm meant to be her friend, not her bloody personal counsellor service.

i still love her and all, am i being out of order? i'm too tired to even figure that out.

lulz wtf? i think its perfectly possible to treat a girl nicely (and not be a twat) without being 'needy', and i speak from experience. although saying that, maybe that is true with regards to her, i dont know. maybe she doesnt want 'nice' ?

i really don't like to generalise but girls do prefer assholes over nice guys, it's a fact. that's not to say it's entirely true for every girl but it's true in the vast majority of cases.

i think there are plenty of reasons for girls liking assholes. finding nice guys boring, wanting to change a guy whose an asshole (even though they can't), mistaking being an asshole for being 'damaged' and in need of love, wanting a guy their parents wouldn't approve of out of rebellion, craving drama in their life...

If you can balance this between being funny, a little bit cocky and UNPREDICTABLE then i'm sure you could pick up pretty much any girl. (At least for random sex). Treat them badly(Not aggressive or 'like a dick', but be a funny dick, show them whos incharge) and show passion and spontinuity and they will be putty in your hand.
